Wah! SMARTDEALS Points and Rewards

Wah Rewards points are an optional thank-you for writing a review. This page explains how they work. It should be read with the Customer Terms, the Customer Privacy Policy and the Community and Review Guidelines.

1. How you earn points

• You earn 100 points for each review of a Sponsor deal (and of past Retail deals).
• A review of a Treat earns no points.
• You can write a review for 30 days after your coupon was scanned. Points are earned only for rating your visit in Wah!, and any star rating earns the same. Following a business or posting on Google is optional, earns nothing, and does not affect your coupon or your points.
• Giving a review is voluntary. You do not have to review or take part in the program to use the Platform.

2. What points are worth

• 500 points can be exchanged for one $10 gift card. So 100 points are worth $2 toward a gift card.
• Points have no cash value and do not expire.
• Customer credits cannot be spent in the app yet.

3. How a gift card request works

• When you have 500 points, you can send a gift card request in the app.
• Wah! staff approve or decline each request by hand. Your 500 points are spent only if the request is approved.
• The gift card code is sent to you by email.
• To help decide, staff see a summary of your recent reviews (a "spread check"). This is evidence for the person deciding; it does not block a request automatically.
• Gift card requests may be closed at times, for example until gift card codes are loaded. Points stay in your account while requests are closed.

4. When points can be removed

• Strikes. A walk-in Sponsor coupon that expires unredeemed earns a strike. A second strike removes up to 100 points. See the Customer Terms for the full strike rules.
• Fraud, abuse or errors. Points may be withheld or reversed for fraud, abuse, a technical error, or a policy violation, as described in the Customer Terms.
• Deleting your account. Points are forfeited when your account is deleted. Suspending an account does not delete points.

5. Changes to the program

We may change, pause or end the points program, the number of points, or the gift card exchange rate. We will post any change here with an updated effective date.

6. Notice for California residents

The points program is a financial incentive for a review. The terms are above, and the Customer Privacy Policy explains how we use your information and how you can withdraw: simply do not submit reviews.
