Wah! SmartDeals — Customer FAQ
Effective date: June 12, 2026
Answers to common questions about using Wah! SmartDeals (operated by WahSmartDeals LLC). This FAQ is for general information only; if anything here conflicts with our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, those documents control.
Account & access
How do I create an account?
Sign up with your phone number — we send a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify it — then choose your neighbourhood community and add a few profile details. You must be at least 18 to register.
Can I browse without signing in?
You can view some deal listings as a guest. Claiming coupons, joining communities, leaving reviews, and using Support require an account.
Can one phone number be both a customer and a vendor?
No. Each phone number can be used for only one account and one role — customer or vendor, not both.
What is the minimum age to use Wah!?
You must be at least 18 to register and hold an account. A parent or guardian manages use for younger household members — see our Family and Age Suitability Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Delete my account. Deletion is reviewed and includes a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel. See the Account Deletion Policy.
Communities
What is a neighbourhood vs. an invite-code community?
You join one neighbourhood community based on your location at sign-up. Other communities (such as a PTA, school, or group) require an invite code. You can belong to more than one community at the same time.
Can I leave a community?
You can't remove yourself in the app. Only a Wah! administrator can remove you from a community — you can ask through your community contact.
Can I rejoin a community after leaving or being removed?
No. Once you leave or are removed from a community, you may not rejoin it.
Deals & coupons
How do I claim a deal?
Open the deal and tap to claim it. You'll receive a coupon with a scannable QR code and an alphanumeric backup code.
How do I redeem a coupon?
Show the coupon's QR code to the vendor, who scans it. For retail deals you pay the vendor directly — usually in cash — at the time of redemption.
How many coupons can I get per deal?
For retail deals, one coupon per customer per deal.
Can I cancel a coupon?
Yes, where the deal allows it — but there's a limit. After a set number of cancellations on the same deal, you can't get more coupons for that deal. The limit is shown in-app.
What if the vendor won't honor the deal?
Wah! is a marketplace, not the seller. Honoring a deal is the vendor's responsibility, so raise it with the vendor first. We can help with support escalation but don't guarantee outcomes.
Payments & refunds
Does Wah! charge my card?
For retail deals, no — you pay the vendor directly, usually in cash. Wah! never holds your payment and does not store full card numbers.
Who handles refunds?
The vendor. Refunds and service disputes are between you and the vendor under the deal terms.
Is Wah! the seller?
No. Vendors are independent businesses solely responsible for their goods, services, pricing, and fulfilment.
Reviews & cashback
How do I leave a review?
After you redeem a coupon, you can leave a review. Any rating from 1 to 5 stars qualifies.
How much cashback do I earn?
Currently 1% of your coupon subtotal (before tax), credited as virtual wallet credits and funded by Wah!. Leaving a review is optional.
Can I spend my credits?
Not yet. Credits accumulate now, and spending will be enabled in a later phase. When enabled, any minimums or limits will be shown in-app.
What is the external-review (screenshot) step?
For some deals, your cashback may be held until you upload a screenshot of an external review, which is checked automatically. Details are shown in-app at the time.
Wallet & credits
What are Wah! credits?
Virtual promotional credits. They have no cash value, can't be withdrawn, and are not a bank deposit or stored value.
Do credits expire?
Not currently. We may introduce an expiration period in the future, with notice and as the law allows.
Privacy & your data
What does the vendor see about me?
It depends on the deal type. For retail and entertainment deals, the vendor sees the name on your coupon at redemption plus aggregate totals — not your contact details. For service, consultation, and referral deals, the vendor receives your name, contact details, and service address to deliver the work. See Privacy Policy Section 3.
How do I exercise my privacy rights?
Email admin@wahsmartdeals.com or use your in-app account settings. See the Privacy Policy.
Support & contact
How do I contact Wah!?
Use in-app Support (Profile → Support) or email contact@wahsmartdeals.com. For legal, privacy, or account-deletion requests, email admin@wahsmartdeals.com.
Should I contact the vendor or Wah!?
For a deal, coupon, refund, or service problem, contact the vendor. For app, account, or technical problems, contact Wah! support.
