Wah! SmartDeals — Family and Age Suitability Policy

This page (the "Family and Age Suitability Policy") summarizes how families and students may use Wah! SmartDeals (operated by WahSmartDeals LLC) and how that relates to app-store age labels. It is for clarity only and does not replace our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. It may be updated independently of those documents.
Who creates the account and pays
You must be at least 18 years old to register and hold a Wah! account. Many deals (for example food and treats) may appeal to school-age children, so a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 creates and manages the account, completes registration, and redeems deals — including making any payment required by the deal type (for example, paying the vendor in cash at a retail location). Household members under 18 may benefit from the Platform only as described below, and the adult account holder is responsible for all activity.
Supervised household use and account security
Wah! accounts are personal to the adult account holder. A minor in your household may use the Platform only under your direct supervision, on your account and device. Minors may not have their own login, one-time-passcode access, or independent control of an account. This supervised household use is the only exception to the rule in our Terms of Use that you may not share your account.
Children's privacy and COPPA
Only adults 18 or older may register. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a registrant is under 18, or that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to deactivate the account and delete or anonymize the information. A parent or legal guardian who believes a child has provided personal information, or who wishes to access or delete a child's data, may email admin@wahsmartdeals.com with the subject line "COPPA request", or use the Account Deletion Policy. We may verify identity before acting. This complements the children's section of our Privacy Policy.
App-store "age rating" vs. who may sign up
The age rating shown in the Apple App Store or Google Play describes the maturity of content and features in the app (for example, marketplace listings, chat, and vendor-submitted material). It is not the same as "only people of this age may use the service." Our current rating is shown on the Wah! SmartDeals listing in each store, and we may update this page if the rating changes. Regardless of the store rating, only adults 18 or older may register and hold an account, and adult-managed household use and your local rules still apply.
What content the app contains
The Platform includes marketplace deal listings and other vendor-submitted content, customer reviews that may contain text and photos, and support messaging that may include attachments. Vendor listings and deals are third-party content that Wah! does not create or control. The Platform is not designed for or directed to children and contains no child-directed features.
Community and school use
Wah! is used by neighbourhoods and groups such as PTAs, schools, gyms, and churches. Customers join a neighbourhood community at registration and may join other communities with an invite code. Deals are generally visible only to members of the relevant community, as described in the Privacy Policy. Wah! is not a public social network.
